Wiltshire Vets - Spring Meeting
The Ladies Vets Spring Meeting recently took place at Chippenham, with 44 players from clubs across Wiltshire competing in an individual Stableford competition. Representing Basset Down were Caroline Symmons, Sue Jewell and Val Stockley. Players were grouped into threes from different clubs, with Caroline joining players from Bowood and Ogbourne, Sue with Cumberwell and West Wilts, and Val with Chippenham and Broome Manor. All three of our ladies competed in Division 2. Despite a thunderstorm near the end, it was a fantastic day on a challenging course and a very well-organised event. We're delighted to share that Sue Jewell won Division 2 – congratulations, Sue! Next up is the Summer Meeting, which will be a Bowmaker competition. Caroline, Sue, and Val will be teaming up to represent Basset Down once again – best of luck, ladies!

Chilly but Cheerful Day at Deanwood

Twelve ladies braved the cold for a round at Deanwood this week. Although the sunshine never quite arrived, spirits were high and the day concluded with a warm and welcoming lunch in the clubhouse.
